They definitely provide large portions of EVERYTHING I had ribs, potatoes, and cornbread.
I drove here from Arlington and it was worth every mile. the food is sooooooooo good my cousin and I took a taste test in the car and ended up eating our plates lol. Service is nice I didn't feel rushed, it wasn't my first time eating CK but it was at this location and I'll say the food at this location is BOMB. Ambiance makes you feel cozy and at home. Can't wait to come back.
The variety of food selections is amazing. I got fried chicken, mac & cheese, and collared greens. My husband got the meatloaf, corn, and yams. We both loved our meals!
Good southern cooking albeit with high prices. I called in my order which was prepared by the time I arrived. I've been to this location before and the atmosphere is good.
First time visit. This is cafeteria style. All of the food we got was very good. Fried whiting, fried pork chops, baked chicken, peach cobbler, greens, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas, carrots cake, rice, cornbread. The portions were huge. The staff was polite and very patient with questions from 1 st time visitors.
Not sure if it was this Sunday or they no longer have waiters, but this day was carry out only, long line out the door! A few ppl say in after getting their food. Service is okay, everyone isn't smiling, but no one is rude. I wanted to give 3.5 but I can't. These new prices are CRAZY! haven't been in a while, but they new prices makes me second guess. I usually get a 4 piece fried chicken which was around $17/$18, now that's the 2 piece price. They removed 4 piece from the menu. 3 piece is now $20. Food still good, but the prices will make me stay away lls people were getting 2 and 3 dinners and spending $80. Food still good like I remember though.
Carolina Kitchen is a DMV staple in my eyes. I enjoy the food and the quick and precise service is always nice. There's a handful of items I get that I think are amazing: Spicy chicken chunks Fried whiting Fried chicken Jerk Chicken My favorite sides to get: Macaroni and cheese Collard greens Potato salad Cabbage The honey butter cornbread is amazing and they offer an array of dessert options.
